What I heard on some radio news show was that the original complaint to the board was that Stonecipher had used his influence to get the woman executive undeserved promotions and pay raises. The board investigated those charges and found that they were not true, but decided that Stonecipher’s behavior had created the appearance of wrong doing, because other Boeing employees thought Stonecipher’s was giving his mistress promotions and pay raises.
